This is my template for sending beautiful, formatted update emails that will impress your boss
I’ve set it up with sections to highlight key metrics and a TL;DR section at the top to quickly summarize the main actions and takeaways from the email so even if people just skim it (and we all do), they still get the most important info.
It’s a google doc that you can simply paste right into your email draft. The best part—you can have people on your team all update the email together in real-time.
My boss was spending 3-4 hours collecting updates from his team, and was constantly delayed and late sending his weekly update.
I gave him my template and it cut the time it took him down to 45 minutes—that’s a 75% decrease! That’s so much time for activities :)
